Seller terms · 2026-08-16
The commercial rules behind the 85% creator payout.
These terms supplement MRI’s platform Terms and apply when a creator submits files, publishes services, connects payouts or completes a Drawings & Scans sale.
1. Seller relationship
The seller remains the supplier and owner or authorised licensor of the listed work. MRI provides the listing, moderation, messaging, hosted delivery and payment technology. MRI does not become the engineering author, manufacturer or certifier of a seller’s work.
2. Price, commission and processing
The seller sets the seller price. For completed Drawings & Scans sales, 85% of that seller price is allocated to the seller and 15% to MRI. Stripe processing is included separately in the customer’s displayed total. The order record shows the actual processing fee and seller net.
3. Verification and payouts
A seller must maintain accurate account and business information and complete Stripe Connect verification before checkout can open. Stripe controls payout timing and may request further identity, tax or business information. MRI may delay marketplace access for risk, compliance, refund or dispute management.
4. Seller warranties
The seller confirms that every submitted file, image and description is lawful; is owned by the seller or supplied with authority; contains no confidential customer, team or vehicle information; does not infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights; and is not misleading about accuracy, fitment, performance or manufacturing readiness.
5. Safety and technical responsibility
The seller must disclose known limitations and must not present unverified work as certified or safe for a safety-critical use. Buyers are instructed to complete independent engineering validation. The seller remains responsible for claims it makes about dimensions, materials, tolerances, compatibility and intended use.
6. Moderation and security
MRI may inspect, scan, quarantine, reject, unpublish or remove a listing. Publication is not an endorsement. Executables and hidden payloads are prohibited. Archive submissions can require manual security review. A seller may correct and resubmit a rejected listing or appeal a decision through the published review route.
7. Licences
The seller chooses one MRI licence for each product and authorises MRI to grant that licence to a buyer after verified payment. The seller retains ownership. The seller must not select a licence that grants rights it does not hold.
8. Refunds and disputes
Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected. A buyer may report a missing, corrupted, materially misdescribed or unauthorised file. Sellers must cooperate promptly. Stripe refunds can reverse seller proceeds and the proportional MRI commission. Disputes or chargebacks may pause payouts and require supporting evidence.
9. Taxes and records
Each seller is responsible for its own income, GST, VAT, sales-tax, invoice and reporting obligations except where law requires the platform or payment provider to collect, withhold or report an amount. MRI and Stripe may retain transaction and verification records where required.
10. Suspension, removal and termination
MRI may suspend checkout or remove content for security, legal, payment, intellectual-property, safety, fraud or repeated quality problems. Existing buyer licences survive removal unless the underlying sale or licence was unlawful. Either party may end future selling, subject to existing orders, disputes and record-retention duties.
Support and appeals
Send moderation appeals, intellectual-property notices, refund evidence or security concerns through seller support. Also read the buyer licence terms, platform Terms and Privacy Notice.
