About the role
Evans GP is looking for a practical, creative Marketing & Social Media Manager to support the team on a part-time basis. We would prefer someone based in Malaysia who can work regularly with the team at Sepang International Circuit and attend selected tests, race weekends and partner activities.
The role combines planning with hands-on delivery. You will work directly with team management, drivers and technical staff to turn the day-to-day work of a professional Formula 4 team into timely, accurate and engaging content. The successful candidate will understand that motorsport communications must serve fans, drivers, commercial partners and the team's professional reputation at the same time.
Key responsibilities
- Build and maintain a practical content calendar around tests, races, driver announcements, team news and partner commitments.
- Create, edit and publish platform-appropriate copy, photography, short-form video and graphics.
- Cover selected Formula 4 events and test days, including live updates, behind-the-scenes material and post-event stories.
- Manage Evans GP social channels and help keep the team website and Motor Racing Industry profile current.
- Coordinate content with drivers, team personnel, photographers, videographers, championships and commercial partners.
- Deliver agreed sponsor mentions, campaign assets and approval requirements accurately and on time.
- Monitor messages and comments, escalating commercial, media or sensitive enquiries to team management.
- Track channel and campaign performance and provide a concise monthly report with practical recommendations.
- Maintain an organised archive of approved images, video, captions, brand assets and usage rights.
This is a part-time role with flexible weekly hours, although some work must follow the race and testing calendar. Selected weekend, evening and travel commitments will be agreed in advance.
Requirements
- Must have: proven experience managing social media, digital content or communications for a professional brand, sports organisation or comparable business.
- Must have: excellent written and spoken English, strong judgement and the ability to communicate technical or sporting subjects clearly.
- Must have: practical photography, short-form video and editing skills, with examples of published work.
- Must have: confident day-to-day use of major social platforms, scheduling tools, analytics and content-planning workflows.
- Must have: reliable organisation, careful attention to names, results, sponsor requirements and approval deadlines.
- Must have: flexibility to support selected race weekends, test days and time-sensitive announcements.
- Preferred: based in Malaysia with practical access to Sepang International Circuit.
- Preferred: experience in motorsport, automotive, sport or live-event communications.
- Preferred: graphic-design capability, Bahasa Malaysia or another relevant regional language, and availability for occasional international travel.
Benefits and working environment
The role offers direct access to an international Formula 4 team, varied content across workshop, test and race environments, and the opportunity to shape Evans GP's public voice and partner storytelling. Weekly hours, event attendance, equipment, travel and the part-time package will be agreed according to experience and availability.
