Company ALPINE RACING LIMITED Job Description Duration:  1 year    Start Date:  July 2027    Location:   Enstone    About Us     We are a high-performance Formula One Team driven by innovation, precision, and passion. Our Simulation group plays a key role in supporting car development and race preparation through advanced modelling, virtual testing, and data-driven tools. As a Simulation   Student Placement ,   you’ll   be part of a team that delivers the software and insights that help drive performance on track.    The Role     During   the   placement ,   you’ll   support the development, maintenance, and deployment of simulation tools used across the engineering departments.   You’ll   work closely with simulation engineers, software developers, and performance analysts to ensure the accuracy, usability, and efficiency of simulation workflows that inform design and race strategy decisions.    Key Responsibilities     Assist   in the development and testing of simulation tools and applications    Support the integration of simulation software into engineering workflows    Help   validate   simulation outputs against real-world data    Contribute to documentation and user support for simulation tools    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure simulation tools meet user needs    Who   We’re   Looking For     Currently studying a degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Aerospace or Motorsport Engineering and seeking an industry placement in your penultimate year of university    Strong programming skills ( matlab , python) and familiarity with simulation environments such as   Dymola ,   Simscape , Simulink    Understanding of car systems (thermal management, hydraulics, transmission, fuel) and modelling techniques    Experience with data analysis and software development tools    Passion for motorsport and a proactive, collaborative mindset    You must have the right to work in the UK, as we cannot provide sponsorship for this role    Be available to attend onsite for an assessment centre in September   What We Offer in Return     At Alpine Formula One Team, you   won’t   just contribute;   you’ll   make a direct impact on race car performance at the pinnacle of motorsport.
