About the role

Multimatic Inmet manufactures fully engineered, high quality components, assemblies and systems such as bumpers and chassis/body structural components for high volume vehicle manufacturers. Multimatic Inmet is seeking a highly motivated, and detailed oriented Junior Maintenance Technician to join our Maintenance Team. Reporting into the Maintenance Manager, this entry-level role is ideal for someone eager to grow in industrial maintenance, with exposure to hands-on repairs, vendor coordination, and project assistance. RESPONSIBILITIES: Electrode inspection and installation Building systems preventative maintenance Motoman, Fanuc and Fronius welder – clean, change filters and coolant Responsible for daily preventative maintenance activities Lubricate various pieces of equipment Washline maintenance Work with Contractors Other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager Overtime as required Works in compliance with IATF16949 and ISO14001 standards Will work in a safe manner at all times and in compliance with all legislative requirements of the OHSA QUALIFICATIONS: 1-2 year Millwright pre-apprenticeship would be an asset Forklift license would be an asset DIYer – mechanical/electrical repairs Experience with hand tools Worked in a related field Strong verbal and written communications Basic excel and word software skills Mechanical aptitude Must be able to work independently and prioritize tasks Strong problem solving techniques Ability to interact with all levels of employees in the organization Strong attention to detail and accuracy Must be able to work day shift (8:00AM – 4:10PM) *Potential for future Apprenticeship opportunities* This job posting is for an existing vacancy.
