Multimatic Inmet is looking for a Maintenance Press Shop Technician. Under the general direction of the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Press Shop Technician demonstrates model behavior and communicates openly and effectively with the team.
Must have
- Professional race-car or high-performance vehicle mechanical experience
- Strong assembly, preparation and fault-finding skills
- Meticulous work under pressure and race deadlines
Preferred
- Professional race-team workshop and trackside experience
- Relevant automotive or motorsport technical qualification
About the role
Multimatic Inmet is looking for a Maintenance Press Shop Technician. Under the general direction of the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Press Shop Technician demonstrates model behavior and communicates openly and effectively with the team. The Maintenance Press Shop Technician will maintain and troubleshoot stamping presses, ensuring smooth and efficient operation throughout the midnight shift. RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on stamping presses Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure minimal downtime Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and parts inventory Maintain equipment to ensure machines produce quality parts Responsible for daily preventative maintenance Assisting in the implementation of continuous improvement activities Other duties as may be required Work in a safe manner at all times Works in compliance with IATF16949 and ISO14001 standards Will work in compliance with all legislative requirements of the OHSA QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent Experience in a maintenance role, preferably in a manufacturing or press shop environment Basic electrical knowledge or currently pursuing an apprenticeship as an electrician or pre-apprentice Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent organization and planning skills. Previous experience with stamping presses or industrial machinery is an asset Formal training or certification in electrical systems is preferred Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to interact effectively with all team members Position is on night shift (10:30PM – 6:40AM) Must be flexible with hours.
