Must have
- Hands-on precision manufacturing, fabrication or inspection experience
- Ability to read engineering drawings and work to close tolerances
- Strong quality, safety and problem-solving discipline
Preferred
- Motorsport, aerospace or low-volume manufacturing experience
- Relevant trade, machining or manufacturing qualification

Our Quality Assurance team plays a pivotal role in ensuring every component meets the highest standards of safety, reliability, and engineering excellence—contributing directly to performance on track. As a Quality Assurance Engineer Student Placement , you’ll step into a fast-paced, high-performance environment where attention to detail and a drive for continuous improvement is essential. The role offers exposure to quality systems and operational practices that help deliver race-winning reliability and performance. The Role During the placement , you’ll support the Quality Assurance Engineering team in managing non-conformances and conducting investigations into faults raised both at the factory and trackside. You’ll work closely with experienced engineers and technicians, contributing to quality control procedures, data analysis, and problem-solving initiatives that help drive the Team forward. Key Responsibilities Assist in the identification and control of all non-conforming products Support root cause analysis and contribute to the implementation of corrective and preventative actions Participate in the creation, review and revision of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Compile and present reports to communicate the outcomes of quality activities Engage in departmental projects to enhance operation performance and actively support continuous improvement initiatives Who We’re Looking For Currently studying a degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Aerospace, or Motorsport Engineering and looking for an industry placement during your penultimate year of university Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem solving Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical information and identify trends from data An understanding of engineering principles, manufacturing processes, or mechanical systems Confident communicator with the ability to present findings clearly and work effectively with people across multiple departments A proactive mindset with the confidence to question processes and suggest improvements You must have the right to work in the UK, as we cannot provide sponsorship for this role Be available to attend onsite for an assessment centre in September What We Offer in Return At Alpine Formula One Team, you won’t just contribute; you’ll make a direct impact on race car performance at the pinnacle of motorsport.
