As artificial intelligence continues to transform how we work, our AI Engineering team develops innovative solutions that improve efficiency, enhance decision-making, and unlock new opportunities across the organisation.   As an AI Engineering Student Placement,   you'll   gain hands-on experience working with   cutting-edge   AI technologies in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.   You will be part of a collaborative team of AI Engineers, Software Engineers, and Platform Engineers, working together to improve all areas of the team—from car design and manufacturing to performance analysis at the track.   You will   support and evolve existing tools, as well   as   create   new solutions   that will help to drive on-track performance.   The Role      During your   Placement, you will collaborate with t   engineers across the team   to support the development, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement of AI-powered solutions. Working alongside experienced engineers and technology specialists,   you'll   help explore opportunities to   leverage   machine learning, generative AI, automation, and data-driven technologies to solve real   world   challenges.   You'll   gain exposure to the full lifecycle of AI solution development, from requirements gathering and data preparation through to model evaluation, deployment, and user adoption.   Key Responsibilities      Support the development, testing, and deployment of AI-powered applications and solutions    Assist   with data collection, preparation, and analysis to support machine learning and AI initiatives    Collaborate with   engineers across the team   to   identify   opportunities for AI-driven automation and process improvement    Support the integration of AI solutions with existing systems, applications, and business processes    Assist   in evaluating and testing AI models, tools, and technologies    Document technical solutions and present findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders    Contribute to proof-of-concept projects exploring emerging AI technologies and capabilities    Actively   participate   in the continuous improvement and adoption of AI solutions across the   team   Who   We’re   Looking For      Currently   studying BSc or MSc in Data Science, AI, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.   Experience with Python and its data science ecosystem (e.g., pandas,   numpy , scikit-learn).   Familiarity with machine learning concepts and techniques (e.g., regression, classification, neural networks).   Proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to learn in a fast-paced, high-performance environment    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively    You must have the right to work in the UK, as we cannot provide sponsorship for this role    You m ust be available to attend onsite interviews    Preferred Skills (not   required   but   advantageous ):   Experience with other programming languages such as C# or MATLAB.   Exposure to cloud platforms and deployment tools (e.g., Azure, Docker, GitHub Actions).   Understanding of data pipelines and software engineering principles.   What We Offer in Return     At Alpine Formula One Team, you   won’t   just contribute;   you’ll   make a direct impact on race car performance at the pinnacle of motorsport.
