Preferred
- Relevant engineering degree or equivalent advanced experience
- Motorsport aerodynamic-development experience

Company ALPINE RACING LIMITED Job Description Duration: 1 year Start Date: July 2027 About Us We are a high-performance Formula One team driven by innovation, precision, and passion. Our Aerodynamic Modelling group plays a key role in understanding and predicting airflow behaviour around the car, enabling data-driven decisions that shape aerodynamic development. As an Aero Modelling Student Placement, you’ll be part of a team that combines physics, simulation, and data science to support the design and optimisation of aerodynamic concepts. The Role As an Aero Modelling Student Placement, you’ll support the development and refinement of aerodynamic models and tools used to predict and analyse car performance across testing domains. You’ll research, implement and deploy solutions utilising a range of statistical analysis, ML & AI techniques to extract performance-targeted insights from our aerodynamic datasets. Key Responsibilities Assist in developing and validating aerodynamic models and simulation tools Help analyse airflow behaviour and aerodynamic performance trends Contribute to the development of data analysis and visualisation workflows Collaborate with design and performance teams to ensure aerodynamic insights are effectively applied Who We’re Looking For Currently studying for a degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Engineering, Maths, Physics) and seeking an industry placement in your penultimate year of university Strong understanding of fluid dynamics and aerodynamic principles A demonstrable interest in developing statistical modelling and analysis solutions to real world problems, with significant programming experience in Python (or Matlab ) Familiarity with vehicle dynamics and race-car performance factors is beneficial Passion for motorsport and a proactive, analytical mindset You must have the right to work in the UK , as we cannot provide sponsorship for this role Be available to attend onsite for an assessment centre in September What We Offer in Return At Alpine Formula One Team, you won’t just contribute ; you’ll make a direct impact on race car performance at the pinnacle of motorsport.
