Hankook Motorsport has signed a five-year agreement to supply competition tyres across four Racing America championships from 2027 through 2031.
The agreement makes Hankook the official tyre partner and exclusive racing-tyre supplier for Trans Am, International GT, Formula Regional Americas and the Formula 4 United States Championship. The company says the contract includes engineering support, trackside service and joint marketing activity as well as product supply.
Two new series and two renewals
Trans Am and International GT are new additions to Hankook's North American competition portfolio. The Formula Regional Americas and F4 U.S. relationships are renewals: Hankook says it has supported both single-seater championships since 2019.
That mix gives the supplier coverage from junior formula racing to high-powered road-racing and GT machinery. It also creates a longer planning horizon for tyre construction, production volumes, event logistics and technical staffing across a five-season period.
The companies signed the agreement at Hankook's Tennessee plant on 25 September, according to the supplier's announcement. Racing America published the commercial framework four days later. Neither party disclosed contract value, tyre allocation rules, competitor pricing or the detailed technical specifications that each series will use.
Supply contract includes service delivery
An exclusive tyre agreement is more than a branding asset. The supplier must manufacture suitable products, forecast demand, move stock to events and provide engineers and fitting support around the calendar. Racing America teams will depend on the consistency of that service as well as on the performance of the tyres themselves.
Hankook says the arrangement will include trackside technical and engineering assistance. That claim comes from the company; service levels, staffing numbers and response commitments have not been published. Series regulations and individual championship documents will determine how allocations, compounds and testing are administered in practice.
The marketing component is expected to cover event branding, broadcast and digital exposure, social media and on-site activity. The announcement does not specify category-exclusivity beyond racing tyres or identify separate activation budgets.
North American programme grows
Hankook already supplies major international championships, including the FIA World Rally Championship and Formula E. The Racing America contract broadens its US footprint across four series operated within one commercial group, giving the company a platform that reaches professional teams, junior drivers and participant-led GT racing.
For Racing America, a single multi-series supplier can simplify technical coordination and partner sales, but the championships still serve different cars and competitor groups. The value of the agreement will therefore depend on product suitability, supply reliability and the quality of trackside support in each paddock.
The confirmed term runs from 2027 through 2031. The official releases do not state renewal options, termination provisions, production location, minimum purchase volumes or whether every support category will begin at the first event of 2027.
