Kellymoss will return to full-season IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship competition in 2027 with a Porsche 911 GT3 R entered in the GTD class.

IMSA announced the programme on 6 November. Michael Clark and Colin Braun will share the No. 17 Porsche for the complete season, while Kyle Marcelli will join them for the Michelin Endurance Cup rounds. A fourth driver for the Rolex 24 at Daytona had not been named when the announcement was published.

The commitment marks Kellymoss’ first full WeatherTech Championship campaign since 2023, when it competed as Kelly-Moss with Riley. The team made selected series starts in 2024, so the 2027 entry changes the scale of its recent IMSA activity from occasional participation to a complete championship programme.

Kellymoss is also moving its race operations from Wisconsin to North Carolina as part of its continuing collaboration with Riley. IMSA described the relocation and the GTD return as connected elements of the team’s 2027 plans. The official release does not give a new facility address, floor area, investment value, staffing change or completion date, and MRI has not inferred those details.

Clark will make his IMSA debut after competing in other Porsche-based sports-car programmes with Kellymoss. Braun brings previous WeatherTech Championship prototype and GT experience, while Marcelli adds an endurance-round role. Those sporting credentials provide context for the programme but do not guarantee results.

The team says the entry is intended to build a front-running operation around Clark’s development and the working relationship established with Braun. That assessment is Kellymoss’ stated objective, not an independently verified performance forecast.

The release does not disclose the programme budget, commercial partners, Porsche customer-racing support package, staffing level, Riley contract terms, spare-car provision or whether the North Carolina move affects Kellymoss’ other Porsche programmes. MRI has therefore reported the confirmed car, class, driver roles, full-season status and relocation without assigning financial values or additional commitments.

MRI compared the IMSA source and canonical URLs, headline, Kellymoss, Porsche, Michael Clark, Colin Braun, Kyle Marcelli and the 6 November announcement date against existing MRI news. No article covers this full-season GTD return or the associated North Carolina operating move.

The update is distinct from MRI’s October coverage of Forbush Performance and Duqueine’s North American LMP3 support programme, and from the recently published Lone Star Racing full-season GTD expansion.

The article is linked to the exact Kelly-Moss Road and Race MRI profile, which uses the organisation’s official website and represents the same Kellymoss business. That profile does not contain an approved official logo, so none has been invented or substituted. No first-party feature image was reused because publication permission was not established.
