Lucas Oil Products has signed a long-term extension with NHRA, continuing a partnership that has reached its 25th year.
The agreement keeps Lucas Oil as title sponsor of the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series and as the sanctioning body’s official oil. It also continues the company’s naming rights at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park.
Rights across series, organisation and venue
The renewal covers several distinct assets. Series title rights connect Lucas Oil with NHRA’s sportsman competition structure, while official-supplier status positions its lubricants and additives across the broader organisation. The venue agreement retains the brand’s name on the Indianapolis facility that hosts the U.S. Nationals.
NHRA says Lucas Oil has worked with race teams on specialised motor oils, gear oils and fuel treatments during the partnership. The new announcement does not identify a fresh product-development programme or publish technical performance data, so those references describe the history of the relationship rather than a newly defined engineering project.
For 2026, NHRA says the Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series includes 47 divisional events, 14 double-divisional meetings and 24 regional events. The organisation also plans to stream more than 30 events through NHRA.tv or YouTube.
Term and value not disclosed
The parties call the renewal long-term but have not published its duration, financial value, rights fee or activation budget. They also have not stated whether the package changes from the previous agreement.
Even without those details, the extension preserves a broad commercial platform spanning a national competition series, sanctioning-body designation, venue naming rights and product positioning. Its practical value will depend on activation across competitors, events, broadcasts and customer channels.
