The NTT INDYCAR SERIES and Indianapolis Motor Speedway have extended their technology partnership with Cisco under a new multi-year agreement.
Cisco will continue as Official Technology Partner, Official Wi-Fi Partner and Official Networking Technology Partner of both organisations. The relationship began in 2024 and covers infrastructure used across Penske Entertainment’s racing and venue operations.
Neither Penske Entertainment nor Cisco disclosed the agreement’s financial value or exact end date. The partners described it only as a multi-year extension.
Infrastructure across series and venue operations
Penske Entertainment says Cisco technology is already used across its operations for networking infrastructure, collaboration, wireless connectivity and cloud management. The renewed agreement keeps the same broad technical remit rather than announcing a replacement system or a single new product deployment.
That scope matters because a racing series and a large event venue create different network demands. INDYCAR’s championship operation must support travelling personnel and event workflows, while Indianapolis Motor Speedway hosts dense crowds and extensive media, commercial and competition activity on major weekends.
The announcement does not provide capacity figures, service-level targets or an implementation timetable for additional infrastructure. It therefore confirms the continuation of the supplier relationship but not the scale of any new capital programme.
Industry engagement at Indianapolis
Cisco will also continue its Engage Tech Day at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The annual event brings customers and technology professionals to the venue for product demonstrations, networking and discussions about enterprise technology.
Penske Entertainment says the event attracts more than 500 attendees. That figure is the organiser’s own account and was not accompanied by independently audited attendance data.
The programme gives the partnership a business-to-business component beyond brand visibility. It uses the circuit as a venue for customer engagement while connecting Cisco’s enterprise technology work with the operational environment of a major motorsport property.
For Penske Entertainment, extending the agreement preserves continuity for core networking and collaboration systems across INDYCAR and the Speedway. For Cisco, it retains both a technical role and a commercial platform around one of North America’s largest motorsport venues.
The companies have not announced the contract value, its final year or specific new installations. The confirmed outcome is a multi-year renewal across the series and circuit, with Cisco retaining all three official technology designations and the Indianapolis customer event continuing under the agreement.
