NAPA Racing UK has signed Ash Sutton to a new five-year British Touring Car Championship contract running through the end of the 2031 season.

The team announced the agreement on 11 October 2026 during the Brands Hatch season finale. It secures Sutton for the next five campaigns and gives the operation long-term continuity around the driver who has led its programme since NAPA Racing UK entered the championship in 2022.

Five-year term provides an unusually long planning horizon

NAPA Racing UK says Sutton has completed almost 150 starts with the team, producing 31 wins, 81 podiums and more than 2,000 championship points. He has won two of his five BTCC drivers’ titles with the operation. The team also reported a fifth consecutive teams’ championship in 2026, while Alliance Racing reclaimed the manufacturers’ title.

Those figures are supplied by the team and BTCC. They establish the competitive context for the renewal but do not guarantee future results. MRI has paraphrased the official statements rather than reproducing quotations.

A contract through 2031 gives the team a defined lead driver around whom it can plan engineering continuity, partner inventory and succession within its wider driver line-up. The announcement does not specify whether the agreement contains performance clauses, break options or a change in Sutton’s commercial rights.

Technical and sponsorship terms remain undisclosed

The release confirms Sutton’s BTCC participation but does not identify the car specification, manufacturer programme or title-partner structure for every season covered by the contract. It also does not disclose salary, bonuses, testing allocation, crew appointments or sponsorship commitments.

The verified change is therefore the long-term retention of Sutton, rather than a new technical or manufacturer agreement. Any changes to NAPA Racing UK’s cars, engineering package or partner roster will require separate confirmation.

No feature image has been used because reusable first-party permission was not established. The article is connected to NAPA Racing UK’s exact MRI profile. That profile currently has no approved logo asset, so no logo has been invented.
