Spire Motorsports has retained Daniel Suárez for the 2027 NASCAR Cup Series season, continuing the driver's programme in the team's No. 7 Chevrolet.

NASCAR reported the extension on 13 October 2026 after Spire announced it through its official social channels. The team has not disclosed the length beyond 2027 or any financial terms.

Renewal keeps the No. 7 programme stable

Suárez joined Spire for 2026 after five seasons with Trackhouse Racing. The confirmed renewal preserves continuity between the driver, crew chief Ryan Sparks and the engineering group attached to the No. 7 entry.

At the time of the announcement, NASCAR reported that Suárez had recorded a career-best average finish of 15.2 with four races remaining in the 2026 season. He had also won the Coca-Cola 600 and qualified for the championship Chase in his first year with Spire.

Those figures describe the season to the announcement date; they are not forecasts for 2027. Spire has not published targets for wins, points position or playoff qualification under the renewed arrangement.

Commercial package has not been detailed

The announcement confirms Suárez and the No. 7 car but does not identify a complete 2027 sponsor schedule, manufacturer-support changes or a revised technical structure. Chevrolet is the named car brand in the official report.

Retaining the driver gives the team a stable sporting asset around which it can plan partner inventory, personnel and car preparation for the next season. The renewal is separate from Spire's Truck Series programme and does not alter the status of the organisation's other Cup entries.
