Honda Racing Corporation USA has developed a Passport Baja Spec for the top Trophy Truck category of the 2027 SCORE World Desert Championship.

HRC US says the new off-road competition vehicle will be driven by Bryce Menzies, a two-time Baja 1000 winner. The programme is scheduled to make its racing debut at the 2027 SCORE Baja 500, giving Honda a new entry in a category outside its established IndyCar, IMSA and powersports activities.

The organisation describes the truck as producing 1,300 horsepower. That figure is a company claim; HRC US has not yet published an engine specification, transmission details, chassis supplier, suspension package, test mileage or homologation information. MRI has therefore not inferred a performance comparison with existing Trophy Truck entries.

The Passport Baja Spec is due to make its global debut on 29 October at a private Los Angeles event hosted by Menzies Motorsports and Race Service. HRC US also plans to display it publicly at the 2026 SEMA Show from 3 to 6 November.

The announcement identifies a complete 2027 championship campaign but does not state the number of events, operating budget, commercial partners or division of responsibility between HRC US and Menzies Motorsports. Those details remain undisclosed.

The programme is a substantive expansion of Honda's North American competition portfolio rather than a road-vehicle promotion. MRI checked the official source URL, headline, organisations, named driver and planned debut against the existing news archive before publication.

MRI does not currently have an exact Honda Racing Corporation USA business profile, so no approximate Honda listing or logo has been attached. No reusable first-party feature-image permission was established and the article is published without an image.
