MotoGP Group has selected Accenture to power a new direct-to-fan streaming service that the championship plans to launch for the 2027 season.
The platform will bring MotoGP, Moto2, Moto3 and WorldSBK content onto one technology architecture. MotoGP says the service will retain separate experiences for each championship while giving the group a shared foundation for distribution, product development and audience data.
No financial terms, contract duration or precise launch date were disclosed. The announcement establishes the intended 2027-season launch and the technology partners, but it does not confirm subscription prices, territorial availability or device support.
One platform across four championships
Accenture Media Engage, previously known as Accenture Video Solution, will provide the core platform. The companies say the initial product is intended to support customised viewing, including selectable camera feeds and live sports data integrated into the stream.
Those functions remain planned capabilities rather than a released consumer product. MotoGP and Accenture did not publish a complete feature list, service specification or migration timetable for the existing VideoPass operation.
The shared architecture is commercially significant because it can reduce duplicated streaming infrastructure across the group’s championships while creating a common base for future products. It also gives MotoGP Group a route to combine viewing behaviour and service development across motorcycle racing properties without presenting every series through an identical interface.
Cloud and circuit connectivity work
Accenture says it will work with technology partners including Amazon Web Services on the programme. The collaboration will explore audience consumption, engagement and connectivity at circuits, alongside the core over-the-top streaming service.
The announcement also refers to possible immersive experiences in later phases. It does not specify which technologies would be used or when those additions could become available, so they should be treated as development objectives rather than confirmed launch features.
For MotoGP Group, the decision places a major part of its owned digital distribution with a global systems integrator and a platform designed for multiple racing championships. For Accenture, the contract adds a high-frequency live-sport property to its media technology portfolio and involves both the consumer service and supporting data and connectivity work.
The next material milestones will be the publication of a launch timetable, migration arrangements for current subscribers and firm details on pricing, markets and supported devices. Until then, the confirmed decision is the selection of Accenture and a target of introducing the new platform for the 2027 MotoGP season.
