Alpha Prime Racing will launch an ARCA Menards Series programme in 2027 using the Ford Mustang platform, adding a development level alongside its multi-car NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series operation.
The team says the additional programme will create opportunities for drivers and staff while offering another commercial platform for partners. It has not yet announced a driver line-up, sponsors, technical suppliers, personnel or the races it intends to contest.
ARCA adds a new step to the team structure
Alpha Prime described the ARCA entry as part of a long-term competition and development strategy. The programme is intended to give emerging drivers, mechanics, engineers and administrative staff experience inside the same organisation before they move toward its national-series operation.
Team president Jusan Hamilton said the project was being built with competitiveness and sustainability in mind. Owner Caesar Bacarella described it as another route for growth and reinvestment, while founder Tommy Joe Martins identified workforce development as part of the organisation's purpose. MRI has paraphrased those statements rather than reproducing the release's quotations.
The announcement follows Alpha Prime's previously confirmed move to Ford machinery for its 2027 NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series programme. Extending that platform into ARCA creates potential alignment in manufacturer relationships, equipment knowledge and talent development, although the team has not published the operating or technical details needed to quantify those efficiencies.
Programme scope remains to be confirmed
The official release confirms the 2027 launch and Ford Mustang platform but does not state whether Alpha Prime will contest the complete ARCA Menards Series schedule or selected events. It also does not identify a car number, workshop expansion, budget or the source of its race vehicles.
Those omissions are commercially important. A full-season programme and a selected-round development entry require different staffing, transport, spares and partner inventories. MRI will treat the programme as announced without assuming its scale until Alpha Prime publishes a schedule.
Even at that preliminary stage, the move represents a substantive expansion of the team's competitive footprint. It creates another customer-facing asset for sponsors and a lower rung through which personnel and drivers can be evaluated within Alpha Prime's own processes.
The programme also adds a Ford-aligned entry to ARCA at a time when the manufacturer relationship can span more than one series inside the organisation. Alpha Prime has not said whether Ford will provide factory technical support or whether the Mustang description refers only to the eligible vehicle platform.
