Antron Brown and Matco Tools have extended their long-running partnership, continuing Matco’s presence with Brown and AB Motorsports in NHRA Top Fuel competition.
NHRA published the agreement on 31 October after Brown recorded his 83rd national-event victory. The relationship began in July 2003, when Brown was competing in Pro Stock Motorcycle, and continued when he moved to the Matco Tools Top Fuel dragster for 2008. It later carried into the AB Motorsports team he founded.
The extension covers Matco’s racing association and the Pit-Side Experience hospitality programme used for distributors, technicians, families and guests. The official announcement says the partners plan to build on that platform but does not disclose a contract term, sponsorship value, number of primary-branded races or new activation commitments.
Brown’s record provides context for the duration of the relationship: NHRA credits him with four Top Fuel world championships, 83 national-event victories and 51 Top Fuel No. 1 qualifying positions. Those figures are supplied by the series and do not establish the commercial return delivered to Matco.
The announcement is a continuation rather than a new team, ownership or technical-supply arrangement. Its significance is the extension of a title-level relationship that has followed Brown across disciplines and from a driver role into team ownership.
