Formula 1 has announced that F1 Live Milan will run from 18 to 20 February 2027, extending the format used for the championship’s 75th-anniversary launch into a three-day public event.
The programme will combine a Milan Fan Festival across all three days with F1 The Show on 18 February. Formula 1 says the one-night show will include appearances by drivers and team principals from all 11 teams, alongside music and entertainment.
A broader event format
F1 75 Live took place at London’s O2 in 2025 as a single-night season launch. Formula 1 reports that the broadcast reached 7.5 million viewers across 37 territories. Those audience figures are company-reported and were not independently audited in the new announcement.
The Milan plan expands the concept into a festival intended to serve both ticketed spectators and audiences using other channels. Formula 1 has not yet named the venue, published capacity, appointed production partners or set ticket prices.
Tickets are due to go on sale later in 2026. Activity for each festival day, the entertainment line-up and distribution arrangements will be announced later.
Commercial significance
The event gives Formula 1 another owned fan-engagement platform outside a race weekend. For teams and partners, a multi-day format could create additional hospitality, content and activation inventory before the 2027 season begins.
The championship has not disclosed the event budget, revenue model, sponsorship packages or expected attendance. It is therefore too early to assess the direct commercial return or the balance between paid attendance and free public activity.
What is confirmed is the date, city and two-part format. The remaining operational and commercial detail will determine how F1 Live Milan sits alongside race-week fan festivals and Formula 1’s other live entertainment products.
