Kayo Sports and Foxtel have agreed a multi-year extension of their Australian MotoGP broadcast rights, with the renewed arrangement beginning in 2027.
MotoGP says the two services will continue to show every practice, qualifying session and race live in Australia and without advertising breaks during racing. The parties have not disclosed the agreement’s financial value or its final season.
Rights retained through the next rules cycle
The renewal covers MotoGP’s transition to its 2027 technical regulations and the Australian Grand Prix’s move to Adelaide. It gives the championship continuity with an established domestic broadcaster during two significant changes to the product offered to Australian viewers.
Foxtel Group says 2027 will mark 30 years as a MotoGP broadcast partner. Kayo’s streaming service and Foxtel’s subscription television platform provide the group with digital and traditional distribution routes.
The release describes Kayo and Foxtel as the exclusive Australian destination for every MotoGP session. It does not provide audience forecasts, subscriber commitments or information about pricing under the renewed agreement.
Commercial importance for the championship
Long-term domestic broadcast contracts give rights holders distribution certainty and give commercial partners a defined route to a national audience. For MotoGP, the timing also connects the rights package with increased local attention around the Adelaide event from 2027.
The agreement is a continuation rather than a change of broadcaster. Its substantive element is the multi-year commitment through the championship’s next regulatory era, with the existing live-session coverage retained.
