Senior Formula 4 Race Engineer
Evans GP is seeking an experienced race engineer to lead the engineering delivery of its Formula 4 cars from its Sepang base and at events across Asia and the Middle East.
Must have
- Must have: proven race-engineering or performance-engineering experience in professional single-seater motorsport
- Must have: strong understanding of vehicle dynamics, setup development, tyres and data-led decision making
- Must have: confident telemetry analysis and the ability to turn findings into concise actions for a driver and mechanic
- Must have: clear written and verbal communication, accurate record keeping and a methodical approach under time pressure
Preferred
- Preferred: Formula 4 or Formula Regional experience, familiarity with Tatuus machinery and experience with MoTeC or comparable analysis systems
- Preferred: experience coaching developing drivers and working within a multi-car engineering group

About the role
Evans GP is recruiting a Senior Formula 4 Race Engineer to join its professional single-seater operation. Based at the team's facility at Sepang International Circuit, the role supports Formula 4 testing and competition programmes across Southeast Asia and the Middle East.
The successful candidate will take engineering responsibility for an assigned car and driver, turning data, driver feedback and the team's technical direction into a clear run plan and repeatable on-track performance. You will work closely with mechanics, data support and team management throughout preparation, testing and race weekends.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver test and race-weekend engineering programmes.
- Lead setup direction, run planning and between-session decision making.
- Analyse telemetry, timing, tyre information and driver feedback.
- Conduct structured driver debriefs and communicate clear performance priorities.
- Produce accurate setup sheets, run reports and post-event technical summaries.
- Coordinate with the assigned mechanic so every change is understood, recorded and completed safely.
- Contribute to team-wide data comparison and engineering reviews across multiple cars.
- Support simulator, driver-development and workshop preparation activity when required.
This is a hands-on trackside position for an engineer who is calm under pressure, sets a high professional standard and enjoys helping young drivers develop.
