Andretti Formula E has appointed Callum Voisin as an official development driver, adding the British-Swiss racer to its technical support group as Formula E enters the GEN4 era.

Andretti announced the appointment on 29 October. The team said Voisin will contribute to simulator programmes and race-event preparation, supporting its full-time drivers Jake Dennis and Felipe Drugovich. The role builds on work he completed with Andretti at Formula E's rookie test in Madrid, where the team gained its first direct reference for his feedback and adaptation to the electric car.

Development-driver positions are operationally important as teams correlate simulator work with track data and prepare set-up options before and between events. That task becomes particularly relevant around a new rules cycle because GEN4 introduces a different technical platform and creates a larger validation workload. Andretti has not described Voisin as a race reserve in the announcement, so MRI has retained the team's specific development-driver title rather than expanding the remit.

Voisin won the 2023 GB3 Championship and has since competed in FIA Formula 3. His single-seater record gives Andretti a driver with recent experience of junior-formula development work, but the announcement does not commit him to a Formula E race seat or specify a route into the team's competition line-up.

No contract duration or financial terms were disclosed. MRI has therefore reported only the confirmed appointment, its simulator and preparation responsibilities, and the named drivers he will support. The item was published within seven days of the official release after it was identified in a later source sweep and was not already present in MRI news.

The article is linked to the exact Andretti Formula E MRI profile. The profile does not currently contain an approved official logo, and MRI found no explicit permission to reuse a first-party feature image, so neither a substitute logo nor a feature image has been added.
