Hanley Motorsports Incorporated has launched a multi-car BMW programme covering three IMSA classes in 2027, bringing together Robert Hanley, David Askew, Mitchell Simmons and Bryan Sellers.

IMSA said on 4 November that the new organisation will join forces with DXDT Racing. It is set to field BMW M4 GT3 EVO cars in the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship’s GTD PRO and GTD classes, together with the BMW M4 GT4 EVO in Michelin Pilot Challenge GS. Drivers will be announced later.

Simmons becomes team principal and Sellers competition director. Askew founded DXDT, where Sellers served as team manager during the past two years. Simmons and Sellers previously worked together at Paul Miller Racing, and the launch reunites personnel with championship and endurance-race experience.

HMI will operate from the former Paul Miller Racing shop in Buford, Georgia, during 2027 while a new facility in Flowery Branch is completed. The team intends to test before January’s Roar Before the Rolex 24. The official report does not publish a completion date or cost for the new facility, detailed ownership shares, car counts within each class, driver contracts or the commercial terms of BMW’s support.

The organisation says the GT4 entry is intended to create an internal development route for drivers, engineers, mechanics and administrative staff toward its GT3 programme. That makes the announcement a new competition and workforce platform rather than a simple rebranding of a single existing entry.

No exact HMI business profile exists in MRI, so no unrelated DXDT, Paul Miller or BMW profile was attached. No first-party image was reused without established permission.
