This growth was achieved as a result of the skill and dedication of the employees.  MAMT is an industry leading engineering development center that relies on its highly talented staff, following the company’s established systems and best practices, to maintain its position.  It is important, in this dynamic environment, that everyone keep abreast of leading-edge technologies and techniques relating generally to MAMT’s core competencies and specifically to the assigned job function.  For MAMT to continue to lead the industry, it is critical that the highest quality prototypes be delivered in a timely manner. Key Responsibilities: Saw-cutting and square up various metal Comfortable manual milling machine & manual lathe operation Comfortable using hand tools Proficient at milling machine operation set-ups Basic understanding of best machine practices (feeds & speeds) Program CNC code from provided CAD data Set up appropriate machining tools, offsets, and materials as per program direction Run CNC Code and verify finished components as required Interact with Design Engineers/Project Leaders/Toolmakers/Apprentices to develop (high volume) manufacturable components with an eye for product improvement and potential build issues Ensure that the customers’ requirements, which include project timing, part quality and delivery are understood and met Consider alternative solutions for given tasks or problems Maintain job folder/electronic data as required Attend meetings as required Be responsible for all parameters of assigned tasks Ensure the shop environment is kept safe, clean and organized to enable timely and safe manufacturing techniques Review project direction with Project Leader Keep supervisor informed of all program issues Assign tasks to co-workers as per direction of supervisor Provide training, guidance and assistance to co-workers as required Ensure adequate communication with other program team members Maintain accurate timesheets and ensure they are completed on time Follow all documented quality procedures Observe all company safety rules, policies and procedures Attend all training courses required Document/present information obtained from conferences and training courses as required Participating in MAMT’s continuous improvement activities Foster good employee relations Perform all other duties as determined by the General Manager or his designate Work Term: January 2027 - December 2027 This job posting is for an existing vacancy.
