These terms explain the relationship between Motor Racing Industry, its members, listed businesses, candidates, employers, sellers and visitors.

Motor Racing Industry is a professional directory and network. A claim confirms authority to manage a profile; paid Featured placement is advertising, not identity verification or an endorsement. Physical-product Marketplace purchases currently take place on the independent seller's website. Approved Drawings & Scans sellers may use MRI-hosted checkout only when the listing, security, legal-release and Stripe verification controls are enabled.
1. Who operates the service
Motor Racing Industry (MRI, we, us) operates motorracingindustry.com. Contact directory@motorracingindustry.com for legal notices, corrections or support.
2. Acceptance and eligibility
By creating an account or using an account-only feature, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge the Privacy Notice. You must be legally able to use the features you choose. If you act for a business, team or other organisation, you confirm that you have authority to take that action for it.
3. Accounts and security
Provide accurate information, keep access to your verified email secure and do not share or transfer your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. We may require additional evidence before allowing ownership, publishing, hiring, billing or seller actions.
4. Directory records
MRI combines information submitted by users and businesses with public information from official websites, registries and other identified sources. Imported or unclaimed records may be incomplete, out of date or refer to a registered office rather than an operating location. Check important information with the relevant organisation before relying on it and use the public correction route when something is wrong.
5. Claims, ownership and status labels
A Claimed profile is controlled by an approved owner or authorised representative. An ownership-verified label means MRI checked evidence of that authority; it does not certify competence, quality, solvency, safety or regulatory compliance. Featured is a paid visibility plan and is always kept separate from ownership verification and editorial review.
6. Featured subscriptions
The Featured plan is displayed as US$10 per month and billed as US$120 for each annual term. Stripe-hosted Checkout processes payment. The subscription renews annually until cancelled, and the purchase screen states the price, billing period and renewal terms before payment. Cancellation stops future renewal; paid benefits normally continue to the end of the current term. Statutory refund, cancellation and consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded remain unaffected.
7. User and business content
You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant MRI a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, format and display that content only as needed to operate, promote and improve the service. You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed and that the content is accurate, lawful and does not infringe privacy, confidentiality, intellectual-property or other rights.
8. Reviews, posts and messages
Reviews must describe a genuine experience. Posts, comments, messages and ratings must not contain unlawful threats, harassment, discrimination, confidential information, personal data published without authority, spam, fabricated claims or undisclosed conflicts. We may moderate, restrict or remove content and preserve evidence needed to handle a complaint or dispute.
9. Jobs, recruitment and freelance work
MRI provides publishing, discovery and organisation tools; it is not the employer, recruiter, employment agency or contracting party unless a listing expressly says otherwise. Employers and advertisers are responsible for lawful, genuine and non-discriminatory opportunities, correct pay and location information, eligibility checks and their hiring decisions. Candidates remain responsible for the accuracy of their profiles and applications.
10. Talent profiles and employer access
Only current profiles that a registered candidate has chosen to publish are eligible for MRI talent search. Legacy profiles are not published. Candidate contact details and generated résumé access are restricted to authorised Featured business accounts when the candidate has enabled the relevant sharing choice. Employer access is logged and may be audited. Candidate information must be used only for genuine recruitment, kept secure and deleted when no longer needed.
11. Marketplace listings and sellers
Each Marketplace seller is an independent business and is responsible for product identity, condition, legality, safety, price, stock, shipping, taxes, warranties, returns and customer service. Product, digital-file, creator and storefront moderation is not an endorsement. Sellers must not list prohibited, counterfeit, recalled, malicious, confidential or unauthorised goods or files, or used safety-critical equipment whose history or integrity cannot be reliably established. Drawings & Scans sellers also accept the versioned seller terms.
12. Purchases, digital files and external websites
Where a physical product links to a seller website, that seller's checkout, prices, availability, delivery, returns, privacy and contractual terms apply. Approved Drawings & Scans listings may use MRI-hosted Stripe Connect checkout after all release controls pass. The seller remains the supplier and licensor; MRI records the order, provides controlled delivery and applies the selected file licence. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected. A saved item or basket does not create a reservation, order or payment.
13. Intellectual property and takedowns
MRI branding, software, design and original editorial material are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Do not scrape protected areas, copy substantial parts of the database, bypass technical controls or use content to build a competing dataset without permission. Rights owners may send a sufficiently detailed infringement notice to directory@motorracingindustry.com; we may temporarily restrict disputed material while it is reviewed.
14. Prohibited conduct
Do not misuse accounts, impersonate others, submit false ownership evidence, harvest personal data, automate abusive traffic, introduce malware, interfere with security, manipulate ratings or search placement, evade moderation, or use the service for unlawful surveillance, discrimination or unsolicited bulk communications.
15. Availability and third parties
The service is in private beta and may change, contain errors or be interrupted. Maps, sign-in, payments, analytics, videos, seller websites and other integrations are supplied by independent providers under their own terms. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, search ranking, business outcomes, employment, sales or the accuracy of third-party information.
16. Liability and non-excludable rights
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MRI is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, opportunity, data or reputation, or for acts and omissions of users, employers, candidates, sellers or external websites. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or rights that cannot legally be excluded, including applicable consumer guarantees.
17. Suspension and termination
We may restrict or terminate access, remove content, pause a claim or suspend a storefront where reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, non-payment, safety, inaccurate information or breach of these Terms. You may stop using the service and request account deletion, subject to records we must retain for legal, security, billing or dispute purposes.
18. Changes, law and disputes
Material changes will receive a new version date and account holders may be asked to accept them before continuing. These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, without limiting mandatory rights available where you live. Contact us first so we can try to resolve a concern; courts with lawful jurisdiction remain available.
