About the role
Evans GP is looking for a Junior Formula 4 Mechanic to join its workshop and trackside operation. Based at Sepang International Circuit, the successful candidate will support the preparation and running of Formula 4 cars across testing and race programmes in Southeast Asia and the Middle East.
This is a practical development position for someone with solid mechanical fundamentals, a professional attitude and evidence that they have already chosen motorsport as a career. You will work under experienced No. 1 mechanics and will be expected to learn quickly, follow procedures and contribute to the team every day.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with car preparation, servicing, cleaning and component checks.
- Complete assigned mechanical tasks carefully and report progress clearly.
- Support setup changes, wheel and tyre work and session turnarounds.
- Maintain tools, consumables, spares and a clean working area.
- Help prepare equipment, garage infrastructure and freight for events.
- Record completed work and learn the team's safety, lifing and inspection procedures.
- Support damage repair and component replacement under supervision.
- Take part in workshop, test and race-event duties as the programme requires.
The successful candidate will be judged on reliability, care, initiative and willingness to learn. Speed matters at the circuit, but only after the work is safe and correct.
