BWT Alpine Formula One Team has added Valvoline Global as a Global Team Partner under a new multi-year agreement.
Valvoline branding will appear on the cars driven by Pierre Gasly and Franco Colapinto and across the wider team environment, beginning at the Italian Grand Prix on 4–6 September 2026.
A commercial partnership with limited technical detail
The parties describe the agreement as a long-term strategic partnership built around their motorsport heritage and shared interest in innovation. Valvoline says the programme will extend its Formula 1 presence and support engagement with customers, partners and fans.
The announcement does not identify a lubricant, fluid or engineering supply role for Valvoline. It also does not publish performance-development objectives, activation commitments, financial terms or the agreement’s final season.
Those omissions matter because the language of innovation does not by itself establish a technical programme. On the information released, Valvoline should be treated as a commercial global partner whose visible rights begin with car and team branding.
Another partner added during Alpine’s 2026 campaign
The agreement follows Alpine’s separate announcement that Enilive HVO fuel will power its European Formula 1 logistics operation. That operational project and the Valvoline sponsorship are distinct arrangements and should not be combined into a single technical claim.
For Alpine, the Valvoline deal adds an automotive-products brand with international distribution to its partner portfolio. For Valvoline, it provides a team platform in Formula 1 and a new route to motorsport-led customer marketing.
The commercial value and practical activation programme will become clearer if the companies disclose hospitality, retail, content or business-to-business initiatives beyond the initial branding rights.
