BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha Moto2 has named Alvaro Carpe and Alberto Ferrandez as its riders for the 2027 Moto2 World Championship.

Carpe will move into the intermediate Grand Prix category after two full seasons in Moto3. Yamaha said the 19-year-old had recorded seven podiums and one pole position during the 2026 campaign by the date of the announcement. He previously won both the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup and FIM JuniorGP World Championship in 2024 before completing his first full Moto3 season in 2025.

Ferrandez will remain with the team for a second Moto2 season. Yamaha’s announcement confirms the pairing but does not disclose the length or financial terms of either rider agreement, performance clauses, commercial rights or any change to the team’s technical package.

The line-up continues Yamaha and Pramac’s BLU CRU rider-development programme. Yamaha describes Moto2 as a progression route toward the premier class, but the company has not guaranteed either rider a future MotoGP seat. MRI has therefore reported the confirmed 2027 appointments without treating the programme’s stated development objective as a contractual promotion plan.

The announcement was issued by Yamaha Motor on 30 October, while the team’s own news page carries a Sepang dateline of 29 October. MRI uses 30 October as the publication date because that is the date attached to the canonical Yamaha Motor corporate release.

The article is linked to the exact BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha Moto2 directory profile. That profile does not hold an approved official logo, and MRI found no explicit permission to reuse a first-party feature image, so the article is published without an image.
